Peanut Butter and Lemons

Throughout Gandhi's life, there was a strong influence on the mind, body, and self-resistance. Gandhi did not support Western culture or medicine because he was fighting for an independent India. He also had strong moral and religious justifications for health and why it is so important to the body. In addition, he believed that vegetarianism was the best way to eat pure foods to cleanse the body and was the natural was man was intended to eat. Another way Gandhi believed was a means to purify the body was by fasting. He did this not only for religious and medical reasons, but also for influential reasons, in order to create an independent nation.
